Frequently asked

Are these the real DMV test questions?

No. Every question and explanation in the app is original text written from the California Vehicle Code and the official California Driver's Handbook. The DMV does not publish its exam pool. The app follows the real test's format — 36 questions with 6 mistakes allowed if you are 18 or older, 46 with 8 allowed if you are under 18 — so the exam simulator feels like the real thing.

Which languages are included?

English, Español, 中文, Tiếng Việt, 한국어, Русский, العربية, فارسی, Armenian, Punjabi and Tagalog. Every question, answer and explanation is translated, and you can tap any question to see the English underneath. Arabic and Persian display fully right-to-left.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Questions, lessons, road signs, the handbook and your progress all work offline. A connection is only needed for the official DMV links.

What is free, and what needs a subscription?

The first six lessons of the Learn path are free, as are the handbook and every road sign; on the Motorcycle test the first six practice tests are free. A Full Access subscription (weekly, monthly or 6-month, auto-renewing) unlocks the remaining Class C tests, the exam simulator and the study tools. Subscriptions are managed by Apple: to cancel or ask for a refund, use your Apple Account settings or reportaproblem.apple.com.

What does the AI tutor need?

An iPhone with Apple Intelligence. It answers in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese or Korean and runs entirely on your device: free, working with no signal, and sending nothing anywhere.

Does the app collect any data?

No. There is no account, no ads and no tracking; your progress stays on your device (and in your own iCloud if you use more than one device). See the privacy policy.

I found a wrong or confusing question

Please send the question text (or a screenshot), the language you were studying in and what you think the right answer is. Every report is checked against the current handbook.

The DMV publishes the handbook, sample knowledge tests and appointment booking free of charge at dmv.ca.gov. The app links to these directly.
