Privacy Policy

The short version

This app collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. No personal information ever leaves your device, because none is ever gathered.

What is stored, and where

The app saves a small amount of data on your device only, so it can remember where you left off:

which questions you have answered correctly, your daily streak and your best practice-exam score
your settings: test language, English translation on or off, appearance, reminder time
any official DMV handbook PDF you choose to download for offline reading

All of it lives in the app's own storage on your iPhone or iPad. It is not transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app deletes all of it. The app also has a "Reset progress" button.

Network use

The app works fully offline. It contacts the network in exactly two situations, both started by you:

you tap a link to official DMV material, which opens a page on dmv.ca.gov inside the app
you tap "Download for offline reading", which downloads the handbook PDF from dmv.ca.gov

Those requests go to the California DMV's servers, not to us — we operate no server and receive no data from them. The DMV's own privacy practices apply to their site.

Notifications

If you switch on the optional daily study reminder, iOS will ask for notification permission and the reminder is scheduled locally on your device. No push server is involved and we cannot see it.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and is suitable for the under-18 learner-permit audience. Because it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children either.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Since the app collects no data, any change would be a clarification rather than a new use of your information.
